Does anyone know what Genset this is?

Hi Folks,
I've acquired a boat with a genset that needs a little TLC but before I can get started I need to identify it. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks

Many Thanks Pete.

It is indeed an L2A (ive now found the number under the grime).

Sadly, its looks like its seized. Any idea if its worth attempting to save?
eg Are parts still available

Cheers

Probably there are parts still available but you might be better off just replacing either the engine or the whole installation depending on how the generator end tests up ...... no good repairing the Mitsubishi and then finding that the gen end is toast, it all looks a bit shabby in your pic
Pete.

It is worth saving if

1. You can do the work yourself
2. You have the space to carry out the project
3. You have plenty of time before you need it working
4. You can resolve other yet unknown issues (in engine and generator) that will certainly present them selves before the project is completed
5. You like restoring old stuff

If you answer NO to any one of the above, save yourself the headache and wasted money.

If you can YES to all 5 points, then you will enjoy the project and have a well running Genset sometime in the future.

Looks like you need a couple of injectors and injector pipes!
