CTEK M200

I recently purchased a CTEK M200 marine battery charger and have a few queries regarding its suitability and use

- It states charging voltage is 14.4 volts but on checking the charging voltage I noted it was 14.8 volts. Is this an issue?

-are there different voltages recommended for charging flooded cell traction batteries (mine is 100ah) and AGM deep cycle batteries ( 2x90ah)

_- The fan did not operate in 'Normal mode' when charging a flooded deep cycle battery. The ambient temp was 10'c and the battery had about a 90% charge. Should the fan always operate on normal ?

I have e mailed CTEK but await replies

In the meantime please advise if possible

Each maker of quality deep cycle batteries has published specs for their various models.

Actual voltage measured at the posts when amps are high will be lower.

You do need to verify independently a charger is actually putting out according to that bank's needs, never trust the chargers readouts or settings even on top gear costing thousands.

Best are units where user can custom adjust the profile.

Many units fan only kicks in when needed.
