I've got an old quad cycle regulator from Cruising Equipment Manufacturing Co. in Seattle. This company is no longer in business.
Does anybody by chance have a manual for this?

Thanks Gord. The first link is to the amp hours meters - which is great since I have two of those below the quad cycle and didn't have the manual for them either.
The second link was promising, but unfortunately the link to the quad cycle info is dead.
What I was wondering is what the "LEVEL" setting is for. I also wanted to know how to use the "COND" setting - I assume this is for equalizing the batteries?

Hi,

I have the Quad-Cycle system, and have been using it on various yachts for over 20 years. It is a very good system. A shame that it is no longer manufactured or supported.

I have the operation/installation manual for the Quad-Cycle, and can scan and send you a copy if you still require it.

The settings of the 4 potentiometers on the back of the unit are important for efficient operation; also you must make sure that ALL connections are clean and well made.

Please send me your email address, and I will send you a PDF copy of the manual.

If anybody has the schematics or a service manual that they could provide me a copy of - I would be very grateful.

Sauvage, if you're still around and still have that pdf, I'd really appreciate a copy. I just bought a boat w/ a quad-cycle, and it's charging my gel-cells at too high a voltage. I know I have to adjust one of the pots, but I don't know which one!

I'm working on a new-to-me Cal 35, "Lookfar". I'm wandering around the Gulf Islands in BC while I'm getting to know the boat, and I've really been blessed w/ wonderful weather for October.

Hey Sauvage, If you're still monitoring this thread I would like a copy of that manual. I just bought a Stevens Cutter with a Quad Cycle Regulator and Gel Cell Batteries. I'd really like to be on top of the battery cycling.

I've got copies of the manuals for the Quad Cycle Monitor/Regulator and the Cruising Equipment Amp Hour meter, dated 1990 and 1989 respectively. Let me know if anybody needs a copy. Did anybody ever find a copy of the schematics for service? I like the way the Regulator could switch to float based on when the measured charge current dropped below a threshold.

The thread to which you responded is years old, but I bet there are still folks out here who will be glad of the opportunity to get documentation. Thanks for posting!

And MODS: It might be worth starting a permanent (sticky?) thread for posting links or downloads of such manuals, schematics and so on. These generous offers that pop up now and then tend to get lost and are difficult to retrieve.

I have a Quad cycle and the Amp hour meters, although I'm not using them at present. When next at the boat I'll check what I have in terms of documentation. If anything not already posted/discussed I'll add it to the thread.
