Controller for solar panels

I'm planning to install two 130-watt Kyocera panels to help charge my house bank of four AGM batteries.

The controller recommended by the retailer is a MPPT 250 by BZ Products. Anyone have experience with this controller?

Also, I read on another forum that MPPT controllers should only be used with large solar array systems because the controller takes more energy to run than the additional output they provide. Can that be right? Would I be better off with a non-MPPT controller?

Thanks.

I use the old Flexcharge 25. It uses little power and has a divert leg that send 12v to my auxilary computer fans I have in the roof vents. When the batteries are topped off the fans turn on for a few minutes keeping the boat fresh and mold free.
