red 12v hot +ve
yellow 12v ground -ve
white neutral with 110
red 110 hot
black 110 hot; also the BIG 12v
cables for engine/gen and
windlass
green ground
I am going to use black for all the 110v circuits, but they are balanced between the 2 hot legs
I don't want to confuse red and red somewhere with 220v and 12v,
is it unmanly to use pink?
But really, is there a ABYC recognised alternative colour for high voltage hot besides red. (Brown I understand is 220v so I want to avoid that)
maybe orange?
only the
engine and
windlass are 24v so no worries about 12v and 24v
genset is 12v, house is 12v
My next
boat will be
fiberglass and every time I do a gel coat
repair, I will use a different colour!
