Those people "467 views", apart from the replies already received, ie different kind of batteries, on mobile devices etc., maybe the majority of viewers are guests on the Forum. Can they vote?

Then also several of us are checking in a few times a day, I assume that racks up the view count significantly, so 467 views, may be less than 100 people?

Re: Charge comfort level

Voted... with the majority in the middle group.

When not plugged into shore power and not 'on passage' I am typically anchored 'off the grid' every night.... if over one night at anchor and wanting to watch movies and run espacher I crank up the Honda for the evening...

If I don't I often find the batts at 12.0 in the AM.....

Keeping a bit of charge on the batts may be why I motor as much as I do......

Trojans.... since 2001 I've averaging 5 and a bit years between replacement... and that is just because one batt with one dud cell needs to go....

Re: Charge comfort level

I've sized my lead banks so I only go below 50% occasionally.

I suffer no discomfort ever about them, but do take active measures to conserve when recharging won't be available soon and they get below 70%.

I'm working toward LFP and power on tap, so size of the fuel tank becomes the only concern when solar isn't keeping up, maximum 2-3 hours a week even in Nordic winter conditions.

Re: Charge comfort level

Over 60% of voters are comfortable going below what I currently am. As I suspected I need to abuse those acid boxes more!
