Changing 230V generator to 115V

I'm installing a diesel generator in my boat. The unit came wired for 230V and I need to change to 115V. Attached are two drawings of the terminal board. The supplier said to remove the blue output wire in the upper left and install a jumper from it to ground (top photo). That results in the wiring as shown in the bottom photo and the Hot wire I take it is now where the Brown was was (230V photo) and is colored black on the 115V photo.

So the Brown wire/black terminal should be wired to the hot side of my main panel generator breaker (the supply hot Black wire).

My question is about the common wire from the generator to the panel generator breaker (White wire), should that be connected to the jumped terminal (the one that had the blue wire and now is jumper to the ground)?

I also have to install a ground connection on generator for back to my main panel. This seems simple, but is it that simple?

IEC Wire Colour Codes for AC Branch Circuits:
phase 1 - brown
phase 2 - black
phase 3 - grey
neutral - blue
ground - green with yellow stripe

It is that simple on a Nexgen, but of course different wiring, I only bring that up to illustrate it is that simple.
Of course if your 230V 50 Hz and rewire to 115V, you will still be 50 Hz, so I assume an RPM adjustment?

May help if you state the manufacturer and model number, you may find someone that has already done this.

Grounds on a boat are treated differently than in a house, I'm not proficient enough to discuss, I'm a read and follow instructions guy myself.

Supplier FINALLY answered my question without adding a bunch of useless info to confuse the question. I knew that if I asked the same question elsewhere they would finally give a straight answer.

Yes the common connects to the jumped terminal and the hot to the other.
