Re: can you make a 12v alternator into a 24v alternator

I haven't poured the coals to the alternator yet, but I think it is alright to.

I found an old work order of a repair on the good one from years ago from paperwork I got with the tractor, and it lists all the part numbers of the alternator. The part numbers for that 24v rotor I put in the 12volt 55 amp alternator, and the stator that is supposedly a 37-63amp 12 volt stator, they both check as the correct part numbers for the 24 volt alternator I have. So I have had the correct parts and didn't know it apparently.

Another question arose as a result of all this digging, that stator part number also crosschecks to a higher amp stator that can be used, not that I need 130amps, but wondering how it would work on my 24v system? Could that rotor that is listed as a 24v / 40amp rotor provide 130amps to that 130amp stator?
