Calb/Winston China Supplier and Price

I was having a chat to someone at the yacht club today and they reckoned that the price of Lithium batteries has dropped through the floor out of China.



He said you can get 1000AH for around $3000 Aussie.


Does anyone have a recommended & reputable supplier in China of either Calb or Winston cells that they have used?

1000Ah at what voltage? 3.2V cells? That's $12,000 for 1000Ah @ 12V nominal.

Edit: Just looked at Alibaba, there are indeed a number of suppliers claiming to sell CALB 200s at around AUD200 or less, so yes, you probably can get 20 of them for under $4000. The price certainly has come down.

But no, I can't recommend a supplier.

Don't have the name of a source for you, but as somebody working with the battery industry, my advice is to take advantage of good prices while you can. The low prices relate to the slow downs in cars and consumer goods. As production slows to meet the new demand, the existing stock will be drawn down to the new norm and prices at lower rates will go up. Lower production numbers in a year will mean higher prices.

If you've ever wanted an electric car, into early 2021 would be a very good time to get it.

Just got a quick quote - Looks like the fellow at the marina maybe got US$ and Au$ mixed up, unless he has found a bargain basement center
