Bow thruster troubles

My bow thruster will start and run then slowly wind down and stop. I replaced the batteries with new ones but it continues to have the same issue. My bow thruster has its own charger which is working and separate batteries. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Back to basics ... check voltage and current from batteries and at thruster motor connections when powered on.

And then check the brushes in the thruster for wear.

Comparing the voltages, when off.
The difference is voltage sag.
The difference between voltage at battery, and motor, is resistive voltage drop.

Re: Bow thruster troubles

Easier to answer if you let us know just exactly what gear you have. Make and model of thruster and charger, and the type and capacity of the batteries.

And d'ye have any prior experience with electrical systems?
