Blue wire to ground?
I am requiring a switch to a
Simrad
10
autohelm
.
Its whip is wired with a blue wire to ground and a brown wire to positive.
I’ve never seen a blue and brown set up. Does that sound right?

Confusing isn't it, yet is used to be so simple. Black for the negative and red for the positive. All changed due to
safety
or something about colour blind people not being able to tell the difference. Anyway we now have this:
