I bought a 3KVA
Victron inverter I'm happy with. The KVA thing annoys me, since it's only a 2.4kw inverter. Just advertising hocus pocus crap.
Standby mode on this inverter lowers the AH used by 30%, but if you get the
software, you can lower the usage by 70%.
It sends a pulse every two seconds, for about a quarter of a second, to sense for loads. You can tell it how much load it should sense before turning on "for real". I'm happy with it, though I wanted the 5000 "KVA unit, but it wasn't in stock, and I didn't want to wait. The 3000 "KVA" actually does all I need it to do, I just wanted the auto switchover to
shore power, and some of the other "Perks" of the 5000 "KVA" Multiplus with batt charger included.
