BAY15D bulb confusion

I recently installed a Hella Marine tricolor light (https://www.defender.com/product3.js...12555&id=64433).

It uses a BAY15D bayonet (offset lugs), and specifies BAY15D bulb to be used in it, but I'm confused since the negative and positive contacts on this light are both at the bottom of the bulb socket, like a BA15D instead.

The light came with incandescent BAY15D bulbs that somehow work in these sockets, but LED BAY15D bulbs, at least the ones I've found, will not, since both of their bottom contacts are expected to be positive. BA15D bulbs sort of work, but they do not seat well and since the lugs are not offset.

Are there LED offset lug bulbs, like the BAY15D, but with +/- contacts on the bottom like the BA15D bulbs?

I found this right after posting my question. It seems that these sockets are specifically designed this way to prevent people from using automotive bulbs in their navigation lights, and prevent standard cabin lights from being used as well....
