Balmar Alternator In Indonesia

Well my old Alternator gave out and I need to source a new one. I’m on Gili Gede, (South) Lombok, Indonesia. Bali is close by too so that’s an option.

Has anyone worked with a reliable vendor with quick shipping, because I doubt I can find one locally. I’m open to other options but if I don’t get one then I’ll be sailing 2 months to Singapore without an alternator... I’m pretty sure I can get one there.

I’d like to replace it with the 6 series - 100amp - Dual belt - Dual foot - Balmar kit with ARS-5 regulator as it’s probably the closest match to what I have.

Sounds good thanks. I like Defender. I’ll try Balmar too when the time comes. Gonna try to get to Singapore.

I’d call Balmar now. There may be someone closer than you think. Try Dale at extension 320 or Tom at 314. Yes I’ve talked them a lot.

I was emailing with Dale and I’m still waiting on a reply from him. Very helpful and quick replies. I’m planning to head toward Singapore and will start planning my replacement when I’m a bit closer.

I tried their website locator and the closest listed was in Phuket. I’m sure I could get one sent anywhere in the world but how long and at what cost....
