Aquasignal Quickfits: Ols vs New Mount

I've had the Series 40 tricolor/anchor combo at the masthead for quite a while, and recently the lens section suffered wind damage. When I ordered a replacement I discovered that the Quickfits mount had changed on the latest model. It's quite a chore to replace (as we have done in the past).

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to simply replace the combo lens itself, and fit the replacement lens onto the older style Quickfits base. By way of explanation I haven't gone up the mast yet (lack of volunteers), so that's the reason for this query.

We've replaced the lenses in most of our Aqua Signal lights including the tricolor/anchor/strobe. You need to be sure to get the right model number.

Thanks. After a little more digging, I belatedly learned that I could have purchased the lens only as a replacement instead of the entire light. Seems obvious in retrospect, but ...
