Anyone know what this is?

Hi folks

I found this in a spares locker on my new boat, it's from the battery harness but the once clear plastic has fogged up and I can't quite see what it is inside.

The only thing I can think of is a fuse, but there doesn't seem to be a way to open it. It's marked "Triangle". I find it strange that the + and - wires are brought close together, however.

Has anyone seen one of these before?

looks like a harness for connection multiple batteries. Trash it.

Yep. The plastic may be to keep the positive and the negative cables from rubbing, with spectacular results. You might check the separation of the cables in your battery box to make sure that the previous owner didn't remove something the manufacturer thought important.

Are you a pack-rat/DIY/modifier? In that case, put it in off-boat storage; copper battery cables are expensive.
