AMP HOUR GAUGE'S AND 6 VOLT BATTERY'S

I am attempting to purchase amp hour gauges for my Catalina 30 and want to convert, next year, to using 6 volt batterys.
Will changing from 2 bank 12 volt batterys to 4- 6volt batterys make a difference in the gauges I buy?

If you plan to have one big house bank of 4-6V golfcarts, then buy a single bank battery monitor and install the shunt on the negative to the house bank.

We use a Victron BMV-600S and have been pleased with it so far.
