Air breeze blue blades

I will be replacing the bearings in my air breeze wind gen.

Any first hand knowledge on the blue blades? I have read that they are quieter, ad says more efficient. Worth 397.00?

Thanks, Aloisius

Re: Air breeze blue blades

We have the original Air Marine unit 400w and replaced the blades purchased from Silent Wind, they are of slightly different shape from the original Air Marine black blades, you need to replace the blades, hub and nose cone which has certainly improved the Air Marine, much much quieter and starts generating power a lot earlier in lighter winds.

I have a similar question. Is the hub and nose included with blades or do buy them separately?

Yep, well worth it. Order the blades with the fitting kit....

You buy the pieces separately or the full kit, I think it was around $650 Aus when I purchased them about 4years ago, If remember correctly the blades and hub are a matched pair.

That's $521.00 plus freight in Australia dollars. Maybe I should have brought them from the US, I got them 3 or 4 years ago.

Re: Air breeze blue blades

I have a Silentwind generator which comes standard with the “blue blades.” Previous to this I owned an Air-X with the standard black blades. The difference in noise is dramatic.

I don’t know for sure, but I suspect the blue blades make a big difference in the noise levels.
