This has worked for us for 10 years now, even in 150 MPH hurricanes! It is SS tubing bent into shape, with SS rod gussets to make it REALLY strong. The solar
panel is in a separate 1.5 X 1.5" aluminum
angle frame with 4 flat bar cross pieces. They are held on & tensioned with 4 thumbscrew bar clamps. Only in storms do I rig the kevlar downlines. The rack is clamped with saddles & hose clamps to the sternrail's upright legs.
The adjustable feature really helps on rare marginal days, otherwise we are 100% solar
, 95% of the time.
