I do have a small band saw on board which makes really nice work of 2/0 in no time at all. Just rotate the cable a little to make all sides smooth.

A set of $11.00 Fiskars anvil style garden shears work very well. I can cut 2/0 with one hand. They can also be re-sharpened and when I finally wear them out I give them to my wife for the garden...
