I've been using the west
marine 1000w cheapo
inverter for over two years continously to
power 2 laptops, two 22 inch lcd monitors,
wifi AP, 2 8 port switches, and a
linux desktop pc. I also use it to
power the kegerator/deck fridge and ice maker when out of port. It has pulled all that
equipment at the same time. So far so good.
I originally bought the 1000w unit as proof of
concept expecting to upgrade to a 3000W pure sine wave, but with the performance and
cheap cost of the 1000w unit, I cant justify the expense of the 3000w pure sine wave
