2 30 vs 1 50 power cord

A small advantage to two 30 amp cords is that if your power requirements are small, only use one cord. Why pay the extra $5 for the 50 amp circuit. I can get another gallon of diesel for that in some places.
The redundancy is also nice, if something happens to one. Kind of like the "spare" engine in a catamaran.

Yikes! Good point Gordy but one normally has a 30 amp main on each leg?( I would hope0

The Stats on voltage drop Doghouse mentioned along with his finding of varing dock voltage certainly brought back some memories of bad marinas I have been to.

I think all this hair splitting is driving me to drink. I think I will have a large Rum something and wish I had a boat big enough to have this issue.
