Most home use battery operated smoke detectors have a notation that they should not be used on boats, just an FYI. Chuck

I just read the manual on this one:

Amazon.com: Kidde KN-COPP-B Front Load Battery-Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Digital Display: Home Improvement

and did not see anything advising against using on a boat. It did say taht the unit was designed for residential use and not for commercial CO monitoring though.

Any reason why I should not use this on the bOAt? Its about 1/4 the price of the West Marine units.
