110 or 12v frig?

I have a nicel little refrig. It runs on 60 watts. I believe the compressor is native 12 volt. However I use the 110v plug and so shorepower keep it on? In the marina, should I not use shorepower (110v) and use 12 volt instead? I have 2 batteries on a battery swithch and keep them charged with my Marinco 6 amp charger. Seem silly to go from 12v to 120 then back to 12v?
