1000W PSW inverter recommendation (NOT Renogy)

I am looking for a 1000W PSW inverter that is fairly compact - height is my issue: needs to be under 3-1/4" tall. Any suggestions?

I already tried the Renogy 1000W PSW - it was defective (over-temp shut-down fault) and Renogy Tech Support is awful, RMA is impossible and I've reverted to credit card dispute. Too bad - I have a Renogy MPPT/DC-DC controller that I like. I guess as long as it works out-of-box......

Thanks in advance -

Peter

Any feedback on Wagan or Go Power 1000w PSW inverters? Wagan has hardwire option and the control panel is smaller. Go Power advertises *industrial quality* to run full 1000w load continuously for 24 hours which sounds impressive. .

Thoughts? Street price is around $275 for Wagan, $330 for GoPower.

I bought a 600watt pure sine samlex and have been quite happy with it.

Here’s their 1000w PSW. Advertised at 3.23” tall.

Re: 1000W PSW inverter recommendation (NOT Renogy)

I had a Wagan elite 400 watt PSW inverter for a while.

Now, I have its internal heatsinks in a plastic bag somewhere along with everything else that might someday become retasked elsewhere. The circuit board and transistor legs appeared like they were dipped in brine, yet never came close to such abuse.

Lasted about two years with minimal use.

but when new it did supply 435 watts continuously for 15 minutes, I liked it for its small size, and the quiet fan at half load or less.

Got a hankering for a 2000 watt PSW inverter, but have no confidence in the usual lesser $$ brand names, and pockets not deep enough for those I would.

Or Sterling if they are available in Mx. 1000w is an odd size, might only just run a kettle or small toaster if camping spec. We have a 300w PSW for laptop and tele etc, then a 1600w for main electrical appliances. That can be 80A from the batteries at night without any help from solar, so make sure the wiring is really over the top rather than having to go back and do it again later.
