We have just had new tramps made for our 2011 L450.
I thought I would share the diagrams we made of the exact net measurements in case anyone else is looking to replace their nets. I couldn't find any on the internet
, so we ended up measuring it out ourselves.
Thus sharing the drawings to save anyone else the hassle!
We chose supertramp material made by Ferrari, as it is far more comfortable than the original netting. Thread is UV resistant Tenara. They were made by Ullmann Sails
in Cape Town
. The cost ex shipping
was $680 (we had a friend bring them over to us - weight 14kg's)
We left a 70mm gap between tramp edge and hull
to allow for water
dispersal, given that the holes are a lot smaller than the original netting (60/40). Nonetheless, Robinson & Cain install supertramp on all the charter
Leopards and many are delivered from CT to Caribbean
- so the supertramp must handle blue water
Please note the diagrams are for a 2011, so am not sure if subsequent years had the same netting attachments structure and spacing as ours - pics attached, so do check this if you'd like to use the measurements.
The one measurement missing from the diagram is the width of the net edge, this is 80mm.
