450: Second hand 420 or 450

I am looking at pro's and con's of either Lagoon.My cat would be used mainly for short social outings with family and friends.In terms of volume there seems to be a huge difference.The cost would not be the main driver but rather stabilty large saloon and back deck.Is the handling of larger cat much harder?I will be sailing with pretty unskilled help.I had a little 26 foot Sadler which I eventually sold as none of the family were keen.After a holiday day out on a Cat the family is much keener.The South African seas can have pretty large swells,although we will be fair weather day sailors.I know some of you hardy sailors will probably view my thread with scorn(different strokes for different folks) but as an older sailor something more sedate appeals.Although I stil enjoy my Hobie 14.Advice much appreciated.

why don't you consider a Robertson caine as they are local to you?? cheaper, easier to repair and possibly better - ok, they aren't near as sexy but what the heck??
