Seajet 039 compatability

What have other Lagoon cat owners done to overcoat or remove the factory applied Seajet 039 antifoul and go with another system? I'm currently getting quotes to have my boat painted. Seajet is not sold in the US and few other paints appear to be compatible.

Re: Seajet 039 compatability

Unfortunately 039 isn't listed on the compatability chart, but you could give Int Paints a shout to see what they say.

We have the older version of Micron Extra on top of several layers of seajet 033 without a problem, but I don't know what the difference is between 039 and 033.

Re: Seajet 039 compatability

Thanks Pete. I did reach out to Seajet/CMP in Europe and got recommendations to use Seahawk, IP or Pettit after a slight wet sand. I was curious what experiences others may have had with overcoating the Seajet rather than removing completely.
