450: Raymic: Broken metal pins of the plug

Hello, I am Peter and the owner of 450 Lagoon, built 2013. I broke off several metal pins in the connection plug of the Raymic. In my internet research I found only one Raymarine dealer (https://www.raymarine-shop.nl/raymarine-ray218-ray55e-raymic-relocation-kit-5m-a46054), who offers a relocation cable with the correct end pieces, the usual Ray55 extension cables sold everywhere have the wrong end pieces. This dealer offers a Raymarine Ray218 Ray55E RayMic relocation kit with a 5m cable. My question: Has anyone changed this cable from his Ray55E to Raymic? Is the 5 m cable long enough?

thanks for the advice.
I've already posted this on FB under Lagoon 450 owners, but got no response.
Too bad, apparently only I have this problem.
I have now bought a portable Cobra Marine VHF radio. Better safe than sorry, especially in an emergency.
But, if I already have a raymic in the flybridge, I want to use it too.
I don't know if the 5m cable is long enough. I would then pull it through with a mouseline.

I replaced my raymarine 240 VHF with a Standard horizon and RAM mic at the helm, the extension cable for the RAM was 23ft, there was a little left over but I did not measure it, I would have thought 5m (16.5ft) might be a bit short. I don't know whether there is a joiner for it in the upper electrical cabinet in the starboard hull, can't recall. Installing a new full length extension is quite an exercise. Maybe consider just cutting the wires and doing a hard wire connection at the inside bulkhead and a grommet, mic would have to stay up there.

Hi, I realize this was a while ago, but I'm also looking for the same cable, I believe, and wondering if you had any luck sourcing one. I'm looking for the cable that has 2 male ends on it, 1 with 8-pin and the other with 10-pin connectors. Were you able to find what you were looking for?

no, the cable offered by Raymarine is certainly too short for my Lagoon at only 15 m in length. I am now planning to replace my broken plug. To do this, I will contact an electrical wholesaler (in Germany: Conrad Company), who have a large number of connectors with metal pins on offer. If things go really bad, I'll cut off the existing stretchers and solder new ones. I can't use it like that. I'm currently using my handheld VHF radio as a replacement. Usually this is intended for emergencies and the life raft.
What surprises me, is that only we two have a problem with these f *** plugs. Fortunately, I can sail without this plug

I have the same problem with the broken pins.
Have tried to solder it but this doesn't work.
Extension cable has 11 cords while the Raymic (70) only has 8.
I noticed that pink cord has some power but there is no pink one on the Raymic cable.
Any idea?

Hello, same problem as your. I expected to succed to connect new plugs between Raymic wire an wire comming from VHF, but there is no color corresponding to each cord !!!!
Plugs are easily to buy in endustrial furbishers.

Does anyone knows the wiring diagram in the world ?
I'am not an electronician, just a self made. I've not find an professional able to do the job.
