39: No forward or reverse

Got SD20 saildrives, engine revs but no forward or reverse motion when in gear. Also throttle feels a little light on that engine. Any suggestions appreciated!

Is the prop still attached?

Have you tried manually putting it into gear at the actual saildrive? If it goes into gear there then its a Throttle/cable or prop issue if it does not then its a saildrive issue.

Answer came from a very competent mechanic at JAS MARINE in w. Palm beach.
The pin INSIDE the transmission had come out. He fixed it within an hour. A one on a thousand problem, but fixed!!!!
