Re: More than a little excited!

Hey 2 Ripples

She got a clean bill of health on the survey, bar one of the genoa tracks needing fixing / replacement.

So looks to be all done.

We move aboard on the 10th Feb so not long to go, just working out all of the logistics for the move.

Very excited but also really tired, could have done without Christmas in the mean time but there you go.

Safe winds, who are you buying through in the Carib, we have been liaising with a number of brokers out there and they seem nice enough.

Re: More than a little excited!

Great news - and Feb 10th is just around the corner ! My goal is to be on the boat by Feb 15th.
Where is your boat located ?

Been working with Christine from Catamaran Company - have worked with her in the past and happy to work with her again.

Re: More than a little excited!

Hey 2 Ripples

She is in the Med, French / Spanish border.

Honestly the list of stuff to sort before the move is getting silly, right now my stress levels are about a 9.5 out of 10.

Still once we are down there on the boat we can look back and laugh - hopefully

Re: More than a little excited!

Hi Two Drifters,

How's it going with the stress levels My bet is that a sundowner in the forward cockpit will take care of those stress levels !

Just completed survey and sea trial on our 440 - all good. I hope to be sailing the Windward islands in the Caribbean by Feb 15 th !!

Exciting times. We spent close to 3 days on the boat between survey, sea trials, ..., and just loved it.

More soon.

Stress levels have abated, kind of in the lull before the storm now. One last works project next week and then that side of it is done. House pretty much packed, everything we think we need for the boat accumulated.

So ready for the off. No doubt panic will set in again next week, but for now it is trying to catch up with friends and family before we go and having a few drinks.

Enjoy your sailing, i reckon you will be out before us, the weather where we are starting is still a bit iffy, and our first decent leg is over the Gulf of Lion (Lyon) which has a reputation.

Looking forward to following your progress. We will have a website a some stage so will pass that around.

Safe sailing! And hope your survey comes in good
