Main Halyard Chafe

We are having issues with main halyard chafe on our L450. The chafe is occurring on the halyard about 3 feet from the masthead connection point. In the last 2 years we have had to cut the chafed section 4 times.

Is anyone else with a 450 having this problem? Were you able to find the cause and a solution?

Thanks,
Dean.

Re: Main Halyard Chafe

Could be the sheave at the top, big gap between sheave and the mast fitting or the end of the mast sail track if you reef the sail, slide a Dyna cover in the halyard at the chafe point and splice it or use another chafe resistant cover to that point...

Thanks for the suggestion. I found this online and may give that a try.
