Hi Mike
The photo looks simular to the problem we had, I will try load a photo for you. My fisrt impression was osmosis, but as I mentioned in previous post, it defiantly is not. One this is certain the only fix is remove all the coatings and start from scratch, which is what we did last year when the boat was 2 years old, so far the new coatings are in great shape. Have you had any response from Lagoon?Click image for larger version

Re: Lagoon delamination or osmosis does anyone had experience?

Hi,
Unfortunately I'm unable to post the full video which shows the full extent of the problem. There is an area of more than 200 square feet with many hundreds of blisters. The problem doesn't involve the outer hulls, only the inner and there is nothing above the waterline. If your explanation was correct there would be areas above the waterline suffering from blisters. I suggest the anti osmosis component was missing or defective in the build process.
The alarming thing from my point of view is that when Lagoon were advised of the problem, they recommended simply reapplying the antifoul and put it back in the water whilst they consider the problem. Now almost 12 months later the boat needs to be lifted out so Lagoon were advised so they could have some input regarding the method of repair, Its been a month and I'm still waiting for a response. if this has now compromised the integrity of the hull as I suspect I'll be seeking a replacement.
Regards,
Mike.

Judging from everything I have read about after sales service and support from Lagoon I'd say "a replacement" is not an option.

you must have seen my new thread warrantee fact or fiction. I think you may be right about not coming to the party with a new hull. I'm yet to have any success in getting anything out of them.

Hi Mike
Sounds more like you have an issue with your dealer than a problem with the boat, in my experience Lagoon have been very fair with warranty issues once you get through the dealer. I would employ a marine surveyor and coating specialist to inspect the blisters, if it is the same problem I had, you just have to remove the coatings then start again, we actually found the original coatings just wiped off with MEK on a rag.
