Lagoon Center of Gravity when on the slip? No tipping over?

I am lifting my L450 soon to be antifouled. Last time the hard stand operator put two supports under the sterns. That lead to an area poorly antifoul painted.

I have dried my yacht on a hard sand beach before with no problems. I would like to be able to convince the hard stand guys to remove the supports for application of antifoul. Does anyone know or have evidence, please, that the Lagoon yachts C of G is clearly over the stub keels. I.e there is no chance of tipping forward or aft?

Thanks
Dave

I can understand why they'd be concerned. What if a storm blew it over? Perhaps it would be better if they would use adjustable stands that could be removed one at a time?

Every time I've painted the bottom i just have the yard put two stands in a slightly different place, then remove the original stands so I can paint.

Hi Dave
This was my boat when it was delivered last year and it seems the method may work for you.

Re: Lagoon Center of Gravity when on the slip? No tipping over?

Hi Dave,
I had the same challenge when on the hard at PSS Satun in December. The boat was supported on its two keel bases and what we did was raise one end of the keel at a time, with a supported hydraulic jack, just enough to get a small paint roller in and then lowered it on a hard wood board. Effectively twisting the boat every so slightly - but it does this in seas so no worry there. However I still didn't get 100% coverage but near enough.

Its a bit worrisome though. You have 16Te resting on two keels of approx 1m square each. Thats a lot of weight on a small area. I think the balance of the boat is good, its been designed for it, but suggest you keep your water and fuel tanks low and the clean and paint it as quick as possible.

Note that Lagoon recommends that the a 100% keel base is to be supported at all times - obviously.
