Just for fun I've posted a video from today, my last day of
vacation, in the Whitsundays,
Queensland,
Australia. Two weeks of fabulous
weather, and generally ideal sailing conditions. Today was the first day I pulled out the ASI as we were on a broad reach for 2-3 hours.
Wind was in the perfect place for max performance - 120 degrees TWA but generally light being 7-10kts but largely 7-9. As you will see the
boat purrs along at about 1.5kts under TWS which is acutually a little better than the VPP polar plot suggests. The sea conditions however were very kind. What a day. What a holiday.
Work tomorrow and bills to pay.......
