Lagoon 42 Structural

Hi all
We are new to this forum but really need advice from.those that have gone before us and have the knowledge. We are seriously considering a Lagoon 42 but the internal cupboards behind helm seems to have structural issues (see images). We have been told this is a common issue with Lagoon 42 but we aren't convinced. Anyone else encounter this issue, and if so, what is the best fix please. Thankyou in advance for your help!

Re: Lagoon 42 Structural

Welcome to CruisersForum!

I would suggest updating your profile with your general location and your boat make & model or “Looking” in the "Boat" category. This info shows up under your UserName in every post in the web view. Many questions are boat and/or location dependent and having these tidbits under your UserName saves answering those questions repeatedly. If you need help setting up your profile then click on this link: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...ml#post3308797

I would happily help more if the link above is not enough.

Is that behind an interior helm or forward of and exterior helm?

I am moving this out of Meets&Greets into the Lagoon subforum where you are more likely to get relevant answers.

Re: Lagoon 42 Structural

We have a 2018 L42 OV and we have not noticed any issues with the overhead cupboard on either side, and we have quite a weight of crockery and glasses in both of these.

The only problem is my vertical challenged wife could not reach the right hand part until we had a little flap installed over the steps, she is now a happy bunny.

Regards
