Did you end up finding a setup that worked for your Lagoon 380, and provided you a way to wakeboard?

Re: Lagoon 380 Maximum Davit Load ?
I think it was the OP cbcat that was looking for the ski/board boat. I do not use the dingy for that.

Re: Lagoon 380 Maximum Davit Load ?
I ultimately passed on the L380 I was looking at, but yes... the purpose was for wakeboarding. I think a setup is possible on this boat and could work for general coastal cruising, but for longer more exposed passages, having that much weight aft could be pushing it. I would not want a davit skirting the limits if I encountered heavy weather

Re: Lagoon 380 Maximum Davit Load ?
Looks like a great setup. What do the L400 davits run? I would think you can get a center console 40HP dingy in under 570#. Just not sure on having that much weight aft in bigger seas, especially offshore. Nothing is perfect!

You have to remember that 80-90% of the weight is on one end of the dinghy. You can't divide total dinghy/motor by 2 and expect that much on each davit.

I dont know if you can see it in the pictures (lower right davit) but previous owner had added some small rope supports from the davits back to the hull. Not to sure how much help they really provide.

I would love to see more photos of an 11.5 foot on a 380. I am thinking about an 11.5 foot myself. However the 9.5 I have currently seems pretty tight between the sugar scoops.

Thanks DRS, I really appreciate the additional photos. We may wish we had the larger 11.5' dinghy later, but we decide to go with 10'.

Re: Lagoon 380 Maximum Davit Load ?
Although we really like the larger dingy and the St. Croix package when we are on the water it makes for a very heavy dingy to drag up or down a beach at low tide. Something I'm betting most don't think about when looking at a tender.

Re: Lagoon 380 Maximum Davit Load ?
our did not make it , nearly lost it al and we had 120kg hanging in them well below what maxs is. (180kg.)
but we had 2 days of slamming in waves as we left St Martin on our way to Azores. we returned to Nanny Cay Marina and got it welded, and reinforced. so now i hope they are good. you can se it al in here.
