Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Well done Dave we can print out that control label and stick to machine.
Ours is in French so we tend to only use the Rapid "Rapide in French" 32 minute wash only.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the reply. Look forward to your views.

Just received an update from our agent to say that the safety guard at the helm station is no longer an option.

Has any 450S owners have an opinion on this.

Why Lagoon has removed a safety item from the options list.

Regards
George

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

I requested the safety slide on hull #7 and it arrived without it. Dealer said it was withdrawn as an option. As for washing machine I installed a Samsung 6kg Ecobubble which has a 15min quick cycle

Hi George,
Now weíve sailed for a few months, Iím happy to say the side gate is not necessary (if youíve got the full bimini enclosure).

In bad weather we donít even need to go out to starboard.

I do plan on adding 2 Hand rails tho. One either side of the helm entrance. Iíll be doing this next week so will update. These hand rails can then be used to run a line between as an added safety net.

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Iím going to get a rigger to check over and possibly tighten our rigging if required.

Weíve sailed for 5 months now so should I expect to see some movement?

What do I need to look out for?

Does the rigging on a new boat stretch?

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Ours was very sloppy after the first 600 miles rough seas coming up the strait from Singapore to Phuket. I adjusted it by half tunrs each side and eye ball rhe mask. When snug i left it. Then sailed 7000nm. I just had a rigger go over it with me and the way i had done it was ok. I think he added a little more tension then i had the first time. But i would rather be just a little lose then to thight from the horror stories i have heard from to tight. Not sure that helps, but that is my story. Another thing he sugessted is to apply a small amount of tread grease to the adjuster so it is easy to open the nuts each time.

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Steve 450 and myself both just had a rigger look at our rigs side by side. One Lagoon 42 horror story and we are all running to get our rig checked.

The story may have come from the World Wide Riggers association

The up shot was both of us had a lose Starboard lower which he took two turns on. My mast was straightening up between the spreaders so he loosened the Diamond a touch to give it a constant bend to the aft, everything else all OK. Just on 3 years since last checked and 6,000 miles on mine not sure on Steves.

Hi Dave

Thanks for the feedback on the side gate. Lagoon updated there brochures with there new logo and all the pictures of the helm station show the gate in the open and closed position. I will be very disappointed if they removed it from there options list without a good.

Hi Rod

Did you have any problem fitting the Samsung.

I am thinking of getting lagoon the install the services and I buy aftermarket.

Is there any problem with that plan

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

"HELP" OUR 450S IS GOING INTO PRODUCTION

My final list is now complete for our 450S. But I need help with the following because Lagoon has not replied to any of my request for specs on electric options.

The following is the exact wording on their Fridge Options (I count 3 fridges)

1 Additional S/Steel Fridge (in lieu of standard) + 2nd S/Steel Fridge - ALPI Walnut €2,825

Additional Freezer 110L /29US Gal In Lieu of 2nd Fridge-Alpi Walnut €469

Comfort Equipment Configuration

Additional Fridge 130L

Question

Where are they located? (I have selected the cockpit drawer fridge €1550)

Has any of the above got an icebox?

What is the cubic capacity of the S/Steel 2 draw fridge v S/Steel fridge

My ideal pick is one S/Steel Freezer and a two drawer S/Steel Fridge/Freezer.

Very poor customer support from Lagoon My agent is helpless but will try to get this sorted first thing Monday.

We are hoping that someone here can through some light on this so we can make an informed decision before then.

George

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Update Posted for Future Owners of L450's

Confusion Solved. There is no drawer fridge available for the L450 and the

Additional Freezer 110L /29US Gal In Lieu of 2nd Fridge-Alpi Walnut Ä469 was listed in error

So, we selected:

1 Additional S/Steel Fridge (in lieu of standard) + 2nd S/Steel Fridge - ALPI Walnut Ä2,825.

We would like the Freezer to be installed in the galley and the Fridge in the Salon.
We think this layout would make for easy access to the fridge for all onboard.

But this has to be confirmed by Lagoon

George

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

George i had to remove the cabin door and door frame from port fwd to get the machine in place. Came off easily. The install wasnt difficult, i included a extraction fan as per the original. Remember to find a method to secure the machine in place so it doest rock around in waves.
