Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Hi Dave

Congratulation on the launch of your youtube channel. Hayley you did a great job.
Just watched all 3 videos. It has help us newbies get an insight into what to expect at the handover stage.

Look forward to more videos. Keep up the good work.

Thanks guys!
You’ll be pleased to know singing is pretty much banned when I’m onboard, it scares away the fish.

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Guys, can any electricians help???

Our Victron Color Control doesn’t show a ‘DC Power’ output. Our electrician is scratching his head. I’ve attached a pic of what is shown but the manual shows an extra ‘DC Power’ box on the display.

The reason this is puzzling us is that the Battery Monitor isn’t showing an accurate amount of amps going out. It shows about 30% of what the Lagoon shunt is measuring (which appears to be fairly accurate and what I’d expect to see with different loads).

It also means that the ‘time to go’ and ‘state of charge’ etc are not accurate.

Please help.

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Hi daley great video. Now to get the dc up on the color controller you will have to go into the menu section then scroll down to the settings section of the color controller then scroll down to where it says ( has dc system) yours will say no then just press the centre enter button and it will then say yes. Thats it .go back to your screen shot and it will be there. Also what size batterys do you have and can you scroll thru the bmv 700 and tell me what percentage the tail current is set to. Thanks steve

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Dave,

Still related to power but on a different aspect: why did you choose 3 pannels vs 4?

The positioning with the longer side (150cm) perpendicular to the boat makes them extend to the aft much less. However, looking at Mike's (KrabiMike) L450s, it looks like 4 panels of the same size would have fit too (without getting too badly above the dinghy davits).

thanks !

Hi Steve,
Would you mind sharing your BMV700 / CC settings please? I still think I’m not set up correctly?

It was purely aesthetics and what the boss would let me have. To be fair, what we have does look very nice and doesn’t intrude on the look of the boat at all but the more solar the better so it’s totally your choice.

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Hi All

Our production date for our 450S has been set for the 09-Nov.

Meeting our agent on Monday to finalise our list of options.

But, to date, I have not received a reply or specs on the options list from Lagoon.

Example:

Onan Genset 11Kw : Is there a variable RPM ?

Washing machine : Is there a 20 min wash available ?

Microwave Oven: Is there a grill option.?

Additional Fridges: The Cubic Capacity of each?

What is the deck area for the teak option?
(cost of teak v marinedeck2000)

Has anyone else suffered from the lack of information I am experiencing from Lagoon? After all they are not cheap items.

Regards
George

Re: Just signed on a new 450s!

Hi, Some info (my yacht is 2012):

Onan Genset 11Kw : Is there a variable RPM ? No

Washing machine : Is there a 20 min wash available ? See image of controls

Microwave Oven: Is there a grill option.? Not in mine

Additional Fridges: The Cubic Capacity of each? 78ltrs

What is the deck area for the teak option? don't know sorry. Only have teak in cockpit and that is enough!
(cost of teak v marinedeck2000)

Should fit Leisure Furl. Far easier and safer to use.
L450 is a fantastic yacht, but yes Lagoon very slow to reply, Cheers Dave
