I own a L400 with factory fitted gen set I thought the gen set supplied power to the on board battery charger thus charging the house and starter battery's, can anybody offer a firm opinion on this? In the meantime I'll try and check with the Lagoon folk here at the Sydney Boat Show today.

You can but a portable jump starter. When I moved to a mooring I found the battery would run down and not start the engine. I bought a jump starter at Walmart for under $100 for a quick fix. Also working on adding solar.
