. It is a great solution, just do move the Y-valve VERY regularly or the dreaded ureum cristals will block it and impossible to move without disassembly.
The standard system on the L400 Owner's version head
has pipework from toilet to top of holding tank
(5 metres ) then discharge from bottom of holding tank to large through-hull valve (1.5 metres pipe).
To modify to give a "straight overboard
" option would require an additional "Y" valve, a large Tee and a couple of extra metres of sanitary hose pipe.
Not sure if this additional plumbing
would improve the reliability
of the system or add to the "clogging problem".
