Re: Code 0 dimensions for 450 Sportop & Cost Estimates

Hi Dave

Thanks for the pictures.

Understand the importance of secure bow cleats or pad eyes.

A parasailor looks like a no brainer for me as part of ones sail plan.

I will go with the Code 0 rigging without the pole. (if Lagoon allows)

Can anyone with experience, confirm the following claims.

That a parasailor can:

Replace a spinnaker,Gennaker and a code 0

Wind angles from a dead run to 50º AWA (35º on a monohull AWA)
AWA less than 100º Only in very light wind situations. (TWS less than 10kn)

Thanks too to DavefromNZ for the links. I will have a look asap

regards

George

Re: Code 0 dimensions for 450 Sportop & Cost Estimates

Hi Anthony,
Did you ever get the I and J measures?
Having placed the order on a 450S and planning to pick her up myself in France, I really would like a gennaker on the 2500Nm trip to Split(CR).
Don't like the price on Lagoons Code 0, and having a second hand North gennaker avalible, I see a less expencive solution(if it fits...).

Tore,

did you see that:
VOILE LAGOON 450 GENNAKER INCIDENCE | eBay

And you have the measurements from incidence (Ok, in french, but probably acceptable ;-) - Guidant=Luff, Chutte=Leach, bordure=foot)
