Re: Buying a Lagoon

Ha ha actually you got it totally right but it's the Adriatic..... Weather seems to have calmed lots with the range going from 0 knots to 20 which is great as we were getting 65knots of BURA a couple weeks back.
The strangest thing here is there is no swell and little wave action so it's fun powering up the boat...

Love the comfort of these boats and also quite impressed by the responsiveness of such a design = we are very happy.

Croatia is lovely with so many islands with facilities geared for the bare boat charter fleet. We tend to anchor out and commute to there establishments via dinghy other than if we need to fuel up which isnt often.

Have met some great people amongst the throng of 40ft Beneteaus that tend to dominate these waters.

We think we will head to Montenegro/Albania and winter in Greece, all these places are quite close and/or are nice day sails/hops.... Italy is 45miles away!!!! So hard to get a grip on the closeness of foreign countries when in Australia distance is a part of life.

I'd love to be poking around Port Clinton/Percy's/Duck/Whitsundays in winter it brings back SO many memories. Wondering if our sign is still at Andy's hut????

Cheers have fun............WE ARE!!!!

Well, you may be interested and amused to hear things are rather different here. After a particularly potent combination of two lows running up the coast, there were reports (on the network news) yesterday of 16m waves; that sounded pretty extreme to us, but in any event the seas off the OZ southeast coast were defenitely huge!
