Maybe see my thread "Leisure Furl on Lagoon 450". Could be what you are looking for?

Re: Boom Reefing Lagoon 500

What type of reefing do you have now? And if it's not standard slab reefing on the boom, is it possible to convert your boat, & rigging to accommodate such?

Also, do you currently have lazy jacks? And regardless of whether you do or not, are you amenable to making alterations to them, & or the boom, to make both reefing, & sail storage, easier?
There are several options for such, but we need to know what you have now. And, of course, pictures of your current setup would help immensely.

Um, & not to intentionally put you on the spot, especially as it takes a good bit of sailing knowledge & confidence to single hand, let alone to do so on a large catamaran. But might your depth of knowledge relative to the complexities of sailing a boat that size, solo, be a bit svelte?
Meaning that, would broadening your sailing horizons & exposure to more varieties of boat types, & their respective, different sail & boat handling systems & techniques help? I ask, as for me, anyway, to know how to best assist you, it would help to know more about your sailing background.

hi Dave, after seeing the price for Leisure furl I think I will just install grab blocks for lazy jack lines at the cockpit
