Anode on Folding Prop SD60 Saildrive

I have recently purchase an 18 month old Lagoon 450 (Hull #440!).

The boat is currently in Turkey and I am in Australia! I want to purchase anodes here to take with me when I return.

Does anybody know the part number and supply options for the propeller nut anode cone on the 3 blade folding prop? Picture attached.

It would also help if the make and model of the folding prop could be identified.

The saildrive is the SD60 I believe.

Thanks

It is a Flex-O-Fold prop. There is only anode sold for the entire Flex-O-Fold line.

Hi
I have the same props on my Leopard. There are no local suppliers here is SA so I bought a zinc billet and had 16 x anodes turned at an engineering shop. It worked out to about the same cost as buying 3 anodes from the suppliers.

Re: Anode on Folding Prop SD60 Saildrive

FWIW:

I got tired of paying the exorbitant price to FoFand made a simple modification that allows use of a common flat "rudder" anode. The mod is to replace the socket head cap screws that hold the cover plate to the body with flat head counter sunk screws. Meant countersinking three holes in the cover... easy enough even with only hand drill motors. You still mount the anode with the central screw, but the now flat surface of the cover accepts any round anode.

Here in Oz, the flat anodes run around 10 AUD and are available everywhere.

As per the others comments, it is a Flexofold (very nice props by the way).
I order ours direct, and you could have them sent to the marina over there where your new boat is, to save substantially on the postage cost.

I also note from your photo that you have the updated ring anode on the leg. The original ones were one piece which - especially with the Flexofold - was a hassle to replace. You don't have that problem as yours is two piece, and therefore can be replaced without removing the prop, but just ensure that when you do go to get more anodes, you get the two piece version, and also don't buy the 'kit' as you would be paying for the two piece mounting which is already installed on your leg.

Hope that also helps,

David

Is the Flex o Fold the standard folding prop delivered by Lagoon when one ticks that option?

That has been the case, not sure about current fitment.

450S delivered 10 months ago had the FlexOFolds as the ticked option. I got my prop and SD anodes from BoatZincs.com
