Crew Available: Young Single Female Looking for Sailing Experience

I am looking for any experience on a sailboat, and am currently living in the Ft. Lauderdale/ Miami area. I have prior experience working as a deckhand/stewardess aboard an 85' Trumpey (Motor Yacht) for the past 3 1/2 months along the North East Coast. The crew consisted of a Captain, a chef and myself only. During my time at sea, I developed a real passion for sailboats, and am looking to learn as much about sailing as possible. I am young, fit, and work very hard, very likable and easy to get along with, and available to start working immediately. Welcome to the forums. Having read through your post, I suspect that you are looking for a paid position? is this correct? Are you looking for short distance week end style, or long distance cruise?
I hope you can find what you need. I am 18 months away from needing crew.

You might be nearing the mileage needed for your captain's license? That would be a merit badge. For a paid gig, look for a connection with a sailboat delivery skipper. There are many free opportunities around, but pretty girls need to be careful.

Much everyone for all the help! I have received many helpful advice through emails and thanks to ASA sailing instructor Alex Hill I am now almost finished getting my 101 and 103 basic sailing certifications. I am looking for a paid gig being that I have some student loans to pay off, but can also afford to go along as an extra hand just for the experience. If anyone knows of any delivery skippers looking for crew, I would really appreciate the info! After being on this forum for just a short time, I am a huge supporter of this helpful forum! You might want to take a look at CrewFinders. For sailing experience, alone, take a look at the Single Sailing Assoc.

If your still looking to go sailing I will be leaving panama shelter bay marina heading to Tahiti on my lagoon 380 cat. The crew would be me and another 2 crew members. Planning on leaving around jan-feb time. If you want to only go part of the trip thats fine, let me know.

Kauai 420, you might want to read up on passage planning. Jan/Feb is the middle of the South Pacific hurricane season. Dont take a chance on having your first passage become your last.___Grant.

Umm, Panama to Tahiti doesn't have toooo many places to get off early if you only go 'part way'.

(yes, I know Galapagos Is, and a couple other potential stops but not your hotspot for reasonable air fare home, if ya know what I mean....)
