will go anywhere...

I am looking for a position for a month or two. I would be willing to crew for free, since I am relatively inexperienced. I have fished on a commercial fishing boat in Ak, lived on a cal 30 for the past 6 months in sf bay, and have been taking lessons at csc and crewing on beer can racing. I need more experience cruising, and would be willing to go anywhere to get it.

That being said, I also have other skills. I am a massage therapist with very high end clientel, and am a pretty good cook. If you would like to use me for those skills, I would require a modest stipend. I also tutor children in all subjects.

I am 33 years old, female, studied marine bio and child development. I have a fiance I am dedicated to, so I would appreciate it if single men looking for a hookup do not apply.

I am also strong and can do the work of most men.

Have you thought about trying to get a crew position in one of the rallies? Consider the Carib 1,500 or the ARC Europe...this would give you lots of experience, and assuming you got on a good boat, it could be loads of fun. That is assuming you are relatively confidant you won't have major seasickness.

What are the rallies? Do they commonly take rookies?

It is 90 £ for a year subscription. Is this worth it? Do people respect crew seekers more if they pay to be a member? Does anyone else have any experience with this site?
