Washington DC to New Bern, NC - August 21

Need one crew man to assist me in delivering my 27' sailboat from DC to New Bern, NC. Prefer to depart 8/21 or soon thereafter. Experience preferred but not necessary. We will mostly be in the ICW and never offshore, but there is plenty of sailing in the Potomac, Chesapeake, Albamarle, and Currituck, etc. No pay but it will be a fun and worthwhile experience. Duties include basics like assisting with anchoring, docking, helming/standing watch, etc. Trip will take between 7 and 14 days, depending upon weather, etc. Minimum age 18. Call Clay - 8 2 8 six O six five O three tw0.

Wish I had sailing experience as I'd jump on this straightaway. I live in Cape May with friends in both locations! Jealous as all get out. I need to find a way to learn the lines.

I might be available near the end of the trip for a few days once you figure the sail schedule. I used to sail out of oriental and just helped deliver a sailboat from there to Wilmington.

I am following up with another applicant, but if he doesn't work out, I'll keep you in mind. Experience is a big plus but not essential.

did u find the crew you need. I am in North Virginia, Stafford, and have a little experience (ASA certifications through bareboat 104) but not much more than those course sailings. I have a few weeks off and could leave in no time.

I think I have my crewman. We're supposed to leave Saturday. If something prevents him from coming, I'll contact you. Thanks.
