Crew Available: Wanting to crew before embarking on my own.

I would like an opportunity to hop on someones boat (Caribbean preferably) for a couple weeks. I want this because I intend on sailing my boat out the Erie Canal and down to the Caribbean and would like to do so without any avoidable catastrophic disasters.

Background; 25yo Male bartender from Metro Detroit with 1yr sailing experience and a lifetime of tinkering skills. Jack-of-all-trades, master of none. Currently preparing my 30' sloop for extended cruising.

I can read charts, pull lines, work on electronics (great with DC wiring, started installing car stereos at 15), computer whiz, great cook, swim (a plus, right?), Macgyver almost ANYTHING if need be.
