Wanted-overnight stay or a weekend

I'm looking for anyone along the northern florida, alabama, mississippi gulf coast who might be willing to let me spend a day or two(nights preferable, but if you didn't want me staying I suppose I could get a hotel room) on a boat

sailing is preferable, but I'd consider going even if it was just staying in the slip

I live in pensacola, FL and I currently am taking college classes, so those come first as far as scheduling goes.

I'd be willing to do a moderate amount of cleaning and odd jobs around the boat as payment, or even take the owner(s)/skipper(s) out to dinner or cook dinner on board (please if I do this, i'd like to have a bit of fun, not just spend my whole time there scrubbing, sanding or cleaning out heads. even though I'm not opposed to doing it a bit)

I'm 19, male and quiet mostly. just want to learn and get a bit more experience on boats before I decide to take the plunge and get my own

good luck, if you were in New Zealand I could have taken you out today. Your job would have been to bring and pour the beers and steer the boat!
cheers

I appreciate the offer, and if I'm ever in new zealand, I'll take you up on the offer... unfortunately, I have a suspicion if I ever make it there, it'll be on a boat of my own...

Hey Third Day, just noticed you were located in Avila. I get down there on a regular basis. Have to buy you a cold one at the YC. Elusive was hauled out down there for awhile, and we got the chance to enjoy the club a time or two.

This is making me sick - homesick. Had a good time, of course, with Kai and all up at Moss (EYC) and when I was hauled out in Port San Luis. Met some great folk at the SLYC - among them was John Hiatt (sp?). You can read about it on my web site ... June / July 2003 section or some of it under the In the Begining:Yacht Clubs section.

Fortunately, I've made some friends down this way - gotta love the boating community!

thanks for the offer rich, I don't expect to be out that way anytime soon, sorry, but if for some reason I am, I'll look you up. I appreciate the offer though, nice to know there are nice people out there.
